Blokus was created by Bernard Tavitan in 2000 and soon became a big hit in the board games.
Easy to use and very nice to play,Blokus is for 2 or 4 players and
its “Tetris shaped” pieces called Monomino, domino, triominos, tetraminos, pentaminos are made up with 1 to 5 squares.
Each player has 21 different pieces to insert in the 400 hundre

d squares of the board.
The only problem is that each piece in the board must touch another one of the same colour only in the corners.
Players cannot insert pieces of the same colour side by side.

To win a player must put as many pieces as he can in the board.
The game end when players are blocked to insert any more of their pieces and each player counts the number of unit squares of his remaining pieces.
One unit square is -1 point;
15 point bonus If you have placed all the pieces on the board;
5 point bonus if the last piece placed was the smallest one.
This abstract
strategy game has now a lot of fans around the world because is a game that always gives you the desire to play once more again. You have to be very clever to block your opponent while you’re thinking to all the future moves to wedge the pieces in the board.
There are different versions of
Blokus;
I recommend
the
classic one,
Blokus Trigon (with hexagonal board and triangular pieces),
Blokus 3D (with 3D pieces and 4 templates for different challenges) and off course
Blokus travel (2 players only), to take your favourite game always with you.
