Playing "Pandemic" to learn about diseases outbreaks

While all the medical researchers of the world are committed to find a quick solution to swine flu outbreak, I’ve learn something about epidemics playing the game ”Pandemic”. This fun board game, made me understand how disease are spread all over the world, and how researchers, biologists and other scientists work to eliminate and circumscribe the viruses. Pandemic is an interesting fantasy game: in a undetermined future four deadly deceases pose a threat to the mankind survival. In this critical struggle for existence, players represent a crisis team of scientists in various disciplines committed to find a cure for these disease before the extinction of all mankind. Each player as a special function in the team, and the team together plays against the game system, if after eight outbreaks the team hasn’t find the cure to all the four diseases all the players loose.
