If you love the TV series Battlestar Galactica this is the right board game for you. The Battlestar Galactica board game can be played between 3 and 6 people, although it’s best with five. You don’t need to watch the TV episodes to understand this board game based upon the TV series Battlestar Galactica, although you can appreciate it a lot more if you know the story behind the show. The important part of Battlestar Galactica show you need to know, is that robot rebelled to humans and launched a massive attack wiping out almost most of the Humanity. Just few people survived on the Battlestar Galactica space ship, and start travelling around trying to find their way back home. The goal of the game is to jump from space to space trying to get closer to home. Battlestar Galactica is a cooperative board game between two teams: the Human team and the silent team. But the tricky part is that at the start of the game the silents are hidden amongst the humans. In fact silents look like humans and at the start of the game each player gets one card to know if he is a human or a silent and he must keep that information secret. Just like in the TV series also in this board game a character can wake up and discover he is a silent programmed to act like a human.

  That’s the cleverest part of the board game, because mechanically speaking it’s not that great of a game, it’s not a good spaceship combat game, it’s not a good build up your character game, but it’s is a good role playing game about figuring out who the other team is and how to deal with them and with the game situations. Battlestar Galactica is a board game that more you play and more you like it, because it’s created to help players tell a story and to exalt role playing, so if you’re not into that and you prefer classic games you are probably not gonna like it.
